Rent King Supports the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's "Let Us Do Good Village"

Updated: Nov 16, 2023

At Rent King, we're all about making a difference, and we're excited to share our continued support for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Since May 2022, we've been supporting this incredible organization, and this Memorial Day weekend, we once again joined hands to create positive change.

What's the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, you ask? Well, since 9/11, this remarkable foundation has been on a mission to support America's heroes in more ways than one. They provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and build custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. But that's not all; they're also dedicated to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping victims of major U.S. disasters.

💫 Gold Star Family Home Program

Launched in September 2018, this program honors the legacy of those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. The Foundation provides mortgage-free homes to surviving spouses with young children.

💙 Fallen First Responder Program

Tunnel to Towers Foundation ensures that we never forget the sacrifices made by our first responders. Through this program, they aim to pay off the mortgages of fallen law enforcement officers and firefighters who lose their lives in the line of duty or to 9/11-related illness, leaving behind young children. Their goal is to provide stability and security for these families facing sudden, tragic loss.

🏡 Smart Home Program

The Foundation builds mortgage-free smart homes for our most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, designed to address their unique needs. These homes come equipped with a myriad of features, making daily life more manageable for those who've sacrificed so much.

On December 17, 2022, the Let Us Do Good Village welcomed their first family to their new home.

Your trust in Rent King has allowed us to contribute to these meaningful projects. Through your support, you've enabled us to be part of initiatives like the "Let Us Do Good Village" in Land O Lakes, FL, which is set to provide over 100 mortgage-free homes to the families of fallen veterans and first responders, as well as catastrophically injured service members.

Construction is in full swing, and it's all thanks to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which was started in honor of Frank Siller's brother Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter who gave his life on 9/11 trying to rescue people from the World Trade Center. "We are going to build over 100 homes for our nation’s most catastrophically injured service members, Gold Star families, and Fallen First Responder families who leave behind young children," said Tunnel to Towers Foundation CEO and Chairman Frank Siller. "This village will be a safe haven for the people who are all going through the same thing in life and can come together."

A resort-styled amenity center will have a fitness center, movie theater, lounge, teen game room and more.

The "Let Us Do Good" village will include 110 homes and a community center with multiple amenities. The land for this project was generously donated anonymously and is located on Parkway Boulevard in Land O' Lakes.

We couldn't be prouder to be part of this amazing endeavor, and we want to express our gratitude to you, our Rent King family, for making it possible. Your support and trust in us are what allow us to contribute to these meaningful projects.

So, as you shop with us and enjoy our wide range of products, remember that you're also contributing to the betterment of our community and the lives of those who've made tremendous sacrifices for our country.

Thank you, Rent King family, for being the driving force behind our ability to give back in support of our nation's true heroes.
